What to visit
There is nothing better than going on a trip to one of the most beautiful national parks, the Plitvice Lakes, which are part of the world heritage with completely naturally formed lakes, impressive waterfalls, surrounded by mountain forests. Of the 16 lakes, each lake is special in its own way and each one offers its own unique experience.
The lakes are hidden by many stories and secrets, and one of them is that in the lush and diverse vegetation grows an endemic species of the lady’s slipper orchid, whose habitat is hidden because it is protected. Try to find it 😊.

After visiting Plitvice and the surrounding numerous attractions, it is wonderful to return to Selište and rest in peace and with the chirping of birds until the next day and the next adventures.
In Selište, you must visit the Church of Mary Help of Christians, which has an unusual and interesting appearance that differs from the classic church buildings.
We know that water is quite polluted today, but not here. Several natural sources of water, one of them is the famous Jezerac, whose stone is carved to say that it originates in 1883.
The Rakovica Uprising led by Eugen Kvaternik took place nearby in 1971, and if you want to know everything about this important historical event, come and find out first hand.
An ideal place for summer vacations, winter holidays or autumn and spring joys, it is close to the sea and the capital Zagreb. You should visit all of them, but always return to the magical peace of the impressive nature of the fairy-tale and mysterious Lika and this hilly beauty.
